Reactive printing is relative to coating printing. Reactive printing involves the active genes of the dye combining with the fiber molecules, creating an integrated dyeing and printing process. The fabric has excellent dust resistance, high cleanliness, and high color fastness. Of course, the cost is much higher than that of coating printing. It is the dyeing of reactive dyes, generally using high-viscosity sodium alginate paste, mainly using dual-active M-type reactive dyes. Compared to coating printing, reactive printing has many advantages such as good breathability, excellent fastness, and soft hand feel, but it also has issues such as complicated printing processes, long processing times, and high processing difficulty.
Reactive printing refers to the treatment of dyeing dyes with reactive printing.
Compared to direct dyeing processes, the dyeing process does not add azo and formaldehyde, and does not contain harmful substances to the human body, and does not fade during washing.
The difference between reactive printing and coating printing is that reactive printing has a soft hand feel. Generally speaking, the fabric of reactive printing looks like mercerized cotton, and the dyeing effect is good from both the front and back sides. This type of painted printed fabric feels very hard and looks a bit like ink.
The design elements of reactive printing are diverse: plants, flowers, geometric shapes, English letters, and the organic combination of different color blocks, expressing different design styles through design techniques. Such fabrics have a wide range of adaptability and a relatively long application time. Reactive printed fabrics are bright in color, have good color fastness, and a soft hand feel. They do not fade with frequent washing and have a long service life.
