What is the difference between reactive printing and direct-to-garment printing on pure cotton?

The application of printing technology is very extensive, and pure cotton printing can be divided into pure cotton direct spray printing and pure cotton reactive printing. Below, I will share the differences between reactive printing and pure cotton direct spray printing. Pure cotton direct spray printing is a material description of printing, while reactive printing is a process description of printing.
Pure cotton direct spray printing refers to converting the designed artwork into a digital format, transmitting it to a computer, editing it through a computer-controlled color separation sketch system, and then directly spraying specialized ink onto pure cotton fabric using a computer-controlled micro-voltage nozzle. The colors mix to form the original pattern. The weaving process of pure cotton materials can use reactive ink, disperse ink, paint ink, etc.
Reactive printing uses reactive dyeing processing for our printing dyes. The design elements of reactive printing are diverse. Plant flowers, images, English letters, and color blocks are organically combined to express various design styles through design techniques. This fabric is suitable for a wide range of groups and has a long applicable time. Reactive printing fabrics have bright colors, good color fastness, a soft hand feel, and do not fade frequently, allowing for long-term use.
Reactive printing is a printing process used for natural fabrics. As the name suggests, it means that the printing dye is processed using reactive dyeing. It contains reactive groups that can react with fiber molecules. During the dyeing and printing process, the reactive groups of the dye combine with the fiber molecules, forming a whole with the dye and fiber. The fabric has excellent dust resistance, high cleanliness, and does not fade even after prolonged washing. This dye has good color fixation and enhancement, and the reactive genes of the dye combine with the fiber molecules, making the dye and fiber form a whole. This results in excellent dust resistance, high cleanliness, and high color fastness.
Reactive printing, also known as reactive dyeing, refers to a dyeing process that does not add nitrogen and formaldehyde, does not contain harmful substances to the human body, and does not fade during washing. Directly using paint for printing, this process is usually referred to as dry printing, distinguishing it from wet printing. The difference between reactive dyeing and paint dyeing is that reactive dyeing has a soft hand feel. Generally, reactive dyed fabrics look like mercerized cotton, with good dyeing effects on both sides. In contrast, paint-dyed fabrics have a stiff hand feel and resemble an ink painting effect.
Generally, reactive printing can ensure environmental protection and is harmless to humans, with good color and fabric hand feel, a hard-soft sensation, bright colors, good color fastness, and a soft hand feel. It can be washed frequently without fading and remains like new after long use. This fabric is suitable for a wide range of groups and has a long applicable time, which is why it is widely used.
