Direct spray printing with coatings and reactive printing? There is actually no good or bad. The focus areas are different. Reactive digital printing is mainly applied to a large number of pure cotton digital prints, while direct spray printing with coatings is mainly applied to pure cotton garments and cut pieces. The guide belt digital direct spray printing machine is only suitable for printing small batches of pure cotton fabrics.
Market research shows that reactive dyeing is a process where the active genes of the dye combine with the fiber molecules, forming a whole with the dye and fiber. This gives the fabric excellent dust resistance, high cleanliness, and high color fastness. Of course, the cost is much higher than that of pigment dyeing.
Printing dyes, as reactive dyes, generally use sodium alginate with higher viscosity as the paste flow (less modification, less leakage, can well maintain the original pattern), and mostly use M-type reactive dyes with dual active groups (these dyes have better fixation rates and lifting power).
Digital reactive printing
1. High efficiency: Before the advent of digital direct spray printing machines, digital reactive printing machines were the main force in pure cotton printing. They are fast, and a large number of pure cotton bag prints used reactive printing, which were then cut into garment pieces and sewn into finished garments. Therefore, three to five years ago, it was common to see people wearing the same clothes on the street.
2. Good effect: Pure cotton fabrics made with reactive printing have no change in texture or hand feel. In terms of color, they indeed have an advantage. When comparing the same pattern printed on pure cotton fabric with the same composition using a reactive digital printing machine and a guide belt digital printing machine, there will be a noticeable difference in visual effect.
3. Stability: Pure cotton fabrics have good stability, are resistant to high temperatures, abrasion, and acid-base, and will not fade in various extreme environments.
4. Limitations: Only prints on fabrics, the production process generates pollution, and energy consumption is relatively high, consuming a large amount of electricity and water during production. The investment cost is also relatively high, generally above eight figures.
Direct spray printing with coatings
1. Flexibility: The process is very simple. Printing plates, finished garments, and a sheet of paper can be printed very flexibly, and it can also be used on pure cotton fabrics, but the efficiency of printing fabrics cannot be compared to reactive printing.
2. Environmental protection: Digital direct spray printing machines can be said to be the current 'green' garment printing machines. It can almost be said to have zero emissions. Traditional printing is a giant that uses a large amount of industrial water. Achieving zero emissions is really not easy.
3. Cheap: The investment in paint direct printing equipment is much cheaper. A small t-shirt printing machine can cost tens of thousands.
4. Limitations: Relatively low efficiency, slightly inferior effect compared to reactive printing, but compared to traditional printing, its effect is far superior.
